How the Mobile Museum Can Support Your Organization
-
Responsiveness
Different communities have different needs, so we listen to partners to understand how we can best serve their communities. We are flexible about the hours and days the mobile museum visits, and we tailor the types of activities we bring based on age range.
-
Access for Families
The mobile museum’s presence makes our partners’ events more accessible for families with young children.
For example, we partner with United Way to bring the mobile museum to pre-kindergarten nights. We also work with Community Support Network to improve family attendance at resource fairs that connect them with housing, health, and other critical resources.
The mobile museum attends cultural events such as the annual Lunar New Year Celebration at Washington Square. We work with our partners to design culturally relevant arts-and-crafts stations for these events.
-
Educational Enrichment for Your Community
Engaging educational experiences help children develop social-emotional and cognitive skills as well as a lifelong love of learning.
We partner with Northwest Regional Education Service District, Adelante Mujeres, and other organizations to bring the mobile museum to the communities they support, including low-income families, people of color, immigrants, refugees, and children with disabilities.
Elementary schools and preschools hire the mobile museum to give students opportunities to learn through play. For example, teachers tell us that giving English Language Learners opportunities to engage with mobile museum exhibits alongside children who are fluent speakers yields dramatic improvements in their English language skills.
Let us bring the many benefits of experiential learning to children in your community.

Multicultural arts and crafts activities are available. We are also collaborating with Native educators to develop STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities that draw from Native American cultural knowledge and traditions. More information coming soon!
